I just don't understand the concept of signing 3 yesteryear stars in the dusk of their career to apparently strengthen the Brooklyn Nets who had a good season in 2012-13 by reaching the playoffs and losing out in the first round to the Bulls though they took it all the way to Game 7.

First they hire Jason Kidd, his first managerial stint and on June 27, 2013 the Nets and the Boston Celtics agreed on a blockbuster trade.

Building on the superteam frenzy of late (Miami Heat and LA Lakers), Brooklyn now have their own with Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Brook Lopez.

It will be interesting to see if they would succeed like the Heat or fail miserably like the Lakers !
